Sustainable design

MEP Design

We offer a comprehensive consultancy service ranging from feasibility studies, initial planning and cost advice through to detailed design work and thermal modelling. In addition, we provide contract administration for major M&E refurbishment schemes and dilapidation and condition surveys and reports. We aim to provide energy efficient buildings which are functional and user friendly as well as cost effective to develop and maintain so that they are sympathetic to the environment throughout their lifetime. We have a reputation for providing well considered, straight forward advice resulting in a very high proportion of repeat commissions from existing clients and project partners.

Low Carbon Consultancy

We recognise the role we can play in reducing energy demand and have a passion for delivering sustainable and low energy building services solutions.

We are fully accredited commercial building Energy Assessors with the Building Research Establishment and registered with CIBSE as CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants. We also provide Energy Performance Certification and BREEAM Assessment from design stage to post construction review and formal certification.

Early project involvement enables us to provide valuable input at the concept design stage with regard to building envelope, orientation and integration of renewable energy technologies.

BIM

We are fully committed to the application of BIM across all of our major projects to facilitate a fully collaborative approach to building design and the integration and co-ordination of services installation.

Using clash detection facilities in the virtual environment we can reduce the risk of site co-ordination issues at design development stage. We have invested in industry standard software and staff training to ensure seamless integration with our project partners.

We are continually developing our BIM knowledge and utilisation to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our service to inform decision making from concept stage through detailed design and subsequent operation.
